Well, as many of you know, I was dealt a major setback on Monday. Things were going so well! I was atleast up to 2 miles, and heading to 3 miles a run easy. Until 20 minutes in to Monday's workout. Then I had a problem. Somehow, details are unnecessary, I ran in to a hole. Then my left knee hit the ground followed by the rest of my body. I had broken my right foot, the right metatarsal to be exact. Sigh...
The doc says 6 weeks to something and 2-3 months for full healing. All I want to know is when I can start running again. Will I be able to train hard enough to do the 13.1 but not so hard I hurt my foot.
This sucks...but there's a reason for everything. God will use this somehow, someway I can't see right now.
I'll post again when I know something more.
God Bless...

Day 30
I feel like I'm finally making some progress, pitiful progress but progress none the less.
Yesterday I ran a mile without stopping. I then walked another mile. That was good. I was slow but I still did it :) now all i need to do is 12 more and I can do this thing!!

Day 19
Ok
it's been a while since my last post. I've had a rough week. Last week on black friday I really did my legs in. But ...I think several factors were to blame. The biggest reason is my weight. I'm sure of that. Contributing to that was the fact I have running in walking shoes. This has caused my knees to hurt. On monday, day 15, i was not able to run. I ended up walking my workouts this week, still in pain, as I could not run.
Until today. I started taking some supplements for joints. I'll see if they are actually effective. I also bought a good pair of running shoes yesterday. Today I did my run. I didn't quite run it as it was on the schedule tho. It was supposed to be walk 2 minutes, then run 3 and walk 1 (repeating 7x). In the 3,4,5 repetitions I extended my walking time from two to three minutes. I still ran the 3 minutes, and when I was running i felt fine. It only hurt when I walked.
We'll see how i do. I am not getting worried yet but I am concerned if I'll be able to run the marathon. I'll be in it, mark my words, but I want to run it. I don't want to walk. argh...
Lord...I just give this to you. The problems I am having are of my own making and I accept that. I also accept that I don't have the strength to do this, I can only do this with you...
