Well, this is the start of week 2, day 8 took last weeks workouts up a notch. Instead of running 1 minute and walking 2 I am running and walking for 2 minutes each. It wasn't any hard to run twice a long than it was to do the 1 minute last week. That's a good thing. I actually like running for longer sequences. I can start to get in to the rhythm of running and not focus on the time so much.
What stinks is how hard it is to do this. pathetic . I hate being so out of shape and heavy.
On another note. Thomas continues to run with me. I'm both grateful and encouraged by his enthusiasm. I am thinking more about how his approach needs to be different than mine. As it seems like he might actually stick this out with me I want to make sure he's doing the things he needs to do - mostly in regards to his diet. He eats fine (no variety but that's a kid) for normal activity. However if he is going to continue to run with me and start looking at the longer distances in January he'll need to eat more proteins etc than he does now. I know absolutely zero about this.. For myself I'd never bother but.. with him it seems more important...
